Deals close faster when the people around them know each other. REMEx brings agents, lenders, attorneys, title, inspectors and contractors into one room every month, so the next time a deal gets complicated, you already know who to call.

Every night pairs something useful to learn with time to meet people. We keep it free for professionals, and we keep it independent of any single brokerage or lender, so everyone in the room is on equal footing.

Marc Nieto has invested in Connecticut real estate since the late 1990s, starting with multiple properties in Greenwich, and has spent more than 30 years in construction with his family's company, L & M Roofing, including work on some of Fairfield County's most affluent properties and gated communities. Today he is a licensed Connecticut real estate agent, full-time since October 2024.

He started REMEx because the best business he's done came from relationships, and Connecticut didn't have a regular, independent room where every side of the deal could meet.

Arrive at 6 and network. At 6:40, two 20-minute talks on topics you can use right away, from closings and financing to renovation and investing. Then a door prize drawing and open networking until 8.

Speaker slots rotate every month, so you hear from different attorneys, lenders and specialists over the year.

Real estate agents at any brokerage, loan officers at any lender, real estate attorneys, title and escrow, home inspectors, appraisers, insurance, contractors and investors. We're based in Connecticut and welcome professionals from New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

What is REMEx?

REMEx, the Real Estate and Mortgage Exchange, is a free monthly networking and education night for Connecticut real estate agents, loan officers, attorneys, title, inspectors, appraisers, insurance agents and contractors.

When and where does it meet?

The first Thursday of every month, 6 to 8 PM, at Two Hounds Public House, 43 South Main Street, Newtown. REMEx launched on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Does it cost anything?

No. REMEx is free for professionals. Sponsors cover the costs.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes. Seats are limited, and RSVPing ahead gives you an extra door prize entry.

Can I bring someone?

Please do. Every colleague in real estate, mortgage or a related trade who comes and names you when they RSVP earns you another entry. Guests who choose “Other” as their trade count once REMEx approves them.
